Trouble with sounds

Hello everyone! I am having trouble with my sound fonts/Arduino not changing my config file after uploading. When I switch presets via Fett263 1 button config, going from preset 1-33/Battery indicator works fine for a good amount of them (some don’t play sound from the font.wav in that specific preset). But going backwards Battery/Preset 33-1 a good amount of them don’t play the selected font sound. My config presets looks correct based on all the hours of videos I watched for example: { Kylo;common", “common/tracks/TFA_Battle.wav”,

I did everything for Arduino as well.

  • I’m on OS 7.8
  • Preferences link
  • Proffieboard by Fredrik 3.6 for Boardsmanager
  • Under tools I am using Board: Proffieboard v2
  • My port says COM3 (Butterfly-L433CC, Proffieboard, ProffieBoard V2, Proffieboard V3)
  • USB: Serial+Mass Storage+WebUSB
  • Programmer: STM32 BOOTLOADER
  • My COM3 Serial Driver is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\usbser.sys

All of fett263s blade styles/colors and effects work perfectly (your work is amazing!)
This config file is under ProffieOS > config > jonsaber_config.h

I don’t get a countdown error because I have the proffie drivers
Everything uploads too 100% without errors however when I click upload, at the bottom right while my board is connected via micro usb (I bought the one Lando Sabers uses in his description) , but when ProffieOS finishes sketching the upload, the bottom right Proffieboard V2 on COM3 disconnects right when the upload begins. I hear the windows disconnect beep, and it goes to Proffieboard V2 [not connected] before 1% of the upload. Like I said it uploads to 100% under Arduino but I dont think my config is changing.
Also even when I heard the windows disconnect sound when upload sketch finishes and it begins the upload from 0%-100%, Proffieboard doesn’t get removed in devices and printers in the control panel.

Disconnecting after uploading is normal as the board initializes.
Not sure your exact question though, what seems to be the problem, it doesn’t play font.wav if yougo to previous presets but does if you go to next?
Never heard of that and not sure why previous would act differently than next.
Maybe describe exactly what you are doing, button presses, blade angle, etc or a video?

Yes so the .wav plays normally with blade facing up when going from preset to preset however the .wav doesn’t play for most presets when selecting previous presets with blade facing down.

Also most of the tracks don’t play the .wav either my button just flashes and thats it

Maybe hook up to Serial Monitor and see what it says? No idea what would cause that unless you SD is unseating?
Maybe try Scroll Presets menu and rotate backwards instead of pointing down?

I just tried it same issue. Preset mode, turn blade clockwise I hear the font.wav files playing like normally but turning counter clockwise my button again just flashes quickly with the font.wav not playing

If you use the “n” and “p” commands (for next and previous) in the serial monitor. Do you get the same issue?

it might be and thats going from 1-5, going from 5-1 only 5 and 1’s font.wav played

I don’t see all the DISPLAY: entries though.
In the top one I see 3, 4, 5
In the second one I see 3, 2, 1

This is kind of weird though.
It looks like it’s trying to play the wav file, but it doesn’t print out the number of channels, and no error message… Wonder what would cause that?

Are you using “smallest code”, or some other optimization level?

Yes under optimize it’s: smallest code i left it like that cause it was default

I wonder if maybe the “unsupported rate” error leaves the player in a bad state which makes it fail to play the next sound? (investigating…)

yeah im not really sure why I’m getting that error im assuming that is the same reason my tracks don’t play either and flashes once quickly. I looked through the forums a lot because of font.wav and certain track .wav files not playing but found nothing.

That error means that the file is in the wrong format for ProffieOS.
ProffieOS wants files that are PCM, Mono and 44100Hz (or 22050Hz)
ANH/font/font.wav is PCM, Stereo and 48000Hz for some reason.

Thats strange it is the ANH Training sound pack from Kyberphonic is there a way to convert it to so PorffieOS can accept it?
