Neosabers Cal Kestis V1 Weathered Proffie Config File Missing on SD Card

oh sorry if i overstepped.

Neosabers sells both TXQ and LGT hilts–yours looks like the TXQ, but that board and chassis do not look like a standard TXQ chassis. I have a standard TXQ config–but looking at your board, it would not work. The standard only has 1 blade and you have 2, as ryryog25 described above. Myguess–they are for pixels that light the pommel, which would explain why it is only using LED4–probably 9 pixels, which should be on the base of the chassis.

The 5V pin is a mystery. I have several 89Sabers universal chassis with the 5V wired into the chassis. I have yet to find someone who knows what it is being used for… it might be for control box sub-boards like the Luke V1–but I’m speculating.

Yeah, I think the wiring is (relatively) straightforward, just a matter of figuring out where exactly each of those accents fall to set them up, and then throwing in all the presets.

For someone new to proffie os reading this… the way i figure out which pixels are where, in parallel or series, etc… i use sub blades with different colors using simple static styles and blinking styles when i run out of colors my old eyes can differentiate.

The non pixel leds, on the otherhand, especially those on breakout boards, are not as straight forward to trace and control… if they can be controlled. I’m still learning about those.

Yeah, that’s why I suggested the LengthFinder, since you can visually watch it move along the blade and you can see where you should put sub blades and what order they’re all laid out in. Once you know where they’re run though setting up a static style (that would be something like StylePtr<Blue>()) for reference as you set up your actual styles I could definitely see being useful.

Could’ve sworn I posted that… mb

(Also, for the original poster of the topic, we got this sorted it seems, just needed a couple minutes to go over exactly what was going on w/ the config/setup… gonna be revamping the ProffieConfig introduction based off that and a couple other recent experiences, I think I can do better.)

Just to give an update. I heard back from the supplier. They gave me a config.h file but it wasn’t exactly matching what i had. My saber has 32 presets and the config.h provided by the supplier had only 20 as well as the fact the led count was at 128. I used the link provided by professorn to figure out that i had 109 leds on my blade. Then I have used ryryog25’s proffieconfig app to delete and add presets as well as modify the number of leds in my blade, 109 on the blade and 7 on the hilt. proffieconfig doesn’t seem to want to upload the config to my board but when i use proffieos it seems to work. thanks to the both of you for helping me out with this. It’s been a fun learning experience.

Hi All - I´m new and today my first saber arrived! I think I made the same “mistake” and bought the Cal Kestis V1 weathered… I have not yet tried it out - I just took a look and saw that the round contact piece in the blade is not tightened - is that normal? Just for the case (and I´m sure I will) go to OS7 and new fonts, styles and as I read you had many troubles for getting a config.h file, could you help me and share? Thanks a lot in advance!

I just saw this. My apologies. I put the lightsaber away for a while and today I decided to play around with it again. I have forgotten nearly everything i did to add fonts and the such. Did you ever figure out your questions?
