I am currently building my second saber, an Intromnia V2 from Saberbay, and is going good. My question is lighted buttons and how are they treated? I’ve read to treat them as two separate entities, a button and an led. Does this mean to update the blade config for buttons? I would also like a review of my wiring schematic. Any help is appreciated, thank you. NOTE-the momentary buttons in drawing are actually ShtokCustomWorx PXL Switch PCB’s.Wire drawing
You would add a blade entry for the led/pixels on the switches, not the button section, if thats what you were asking.
The diagram looks ok to me, but the switch parts looks a bit confusing. Also, the switch wires could go much smaller gauge, like 30 or even 32.
Yes, usually each illuminated button becomes a “blade” in the config file, with it’s own style that controls it.
The wiring diagram looks mostly fine, but you should probably connect “pixel -” on the switches to one of the LED pads so you can cut the power properly to the LEDs. Without that they will draw a little bit of power, even when the kill switch is OFF.
Agreed, I will go with 30awg on the switches.
Also agree, thank you for the look. These things, I am finding out, require a lot of patience.
