So I had some wires break and fixed them but when flipped the kill switch I forgot to put the as in. Got a sound saying’no font directory found ’. I put the SD card back in I got no sound. Check to see if there is anything wrong in the SD but it doesn’t look like it so far. Could I have done something in edit mode possibly to mute all sound I don’t even get a boot sound. Or could I have messed something up on the board? I’m just not sure because I get the notification that I have no directory when there is no SD card
Zero volume maybe?
You can check with the “get_volume” command in the serial monitor.
If that’s not in, then maybe the sd card is corrupted and needs to be formatted. (And then put the files back of course.)
I will check that. Yes no sound at all with the SD card inserted. But as stated I do get sound with ‘No Font Directory Found’.
Was just reading another post about the ESP32 and got me thinking; I do have two 2020 LED strips wired and mounted to the bottom side of my board cover, could I have inadvertently put it into Bootloader mode? (It is a very tight fit in the hilt) And if so how can I exit it(never thought to find out since I got my driver installed)
Board will exit bootloader mode every time you reset or cut the power.
Also, bootloader mode does not speak, so “font directory not found” means you’re not in bootloader model.
Ok gotcha.
Update: So I Open my SD card, got rid of some of the folders that were created in edit mode and check to make sure there was no corruption of the files and reinserted it into the saber and everything works. I wanted to test that before going and hooking it up to the serial monitor, but, I am guessing that’s all that was something wrong with the SD card. I’m not sure what exactly it was but I’m getting rid of those folders and going through the fonts ended up working so everything‘s working now. I just got a mess with a little bit of my color for my blades are off, but I appreciate the help @profezzorn
