USB Device not recognized

Hello

When changing my Proffie board v3 blade con fig I am now getting this USB Device not recognized.

Arduino 1.8.19 port com 3 appears until the USB message pops up then port goes unhighlighted. go’s

No updates where loaded, just used it an hour before on the same board same cord same port and it all worked fine.

Restarted computer, No help. Swapped cables no help, Swapped ports no help .
reset board no help.

When plugging in board green light is on but no sound from speaker is made.

Also, when cable is disconnected and battery is installed back into green light on buy the board is not working, no sound when pressing activation buttons.

Don’t know what happened. Any Ideas.

It sounds like the board is crashing.
I very likely candidate for this is a corrupt SD card.
Normally, the green light is supposed to be pulsing, if the green light is on but not pulsing, the board has most likely crashed.

One of my boards was having the same problem Board Freezes when Using common Folder when I entered any menus after I had switched from 7.15 to Master.

I’m not sure what was causing it, but switching back to 7.15 made it stop happening.

Update to the latest Arduino IDE, 2.3.6 or even higher, there is no reason to run an old software.

Hello

I switched sd cards no held.
Bright green light is on steady.

I have 10 Sabers with the 3v boards, and none have done this.

It’s a new saber less than 2 months old.

I will order a new board, unless there are any other things I can check.

Thanks

Standard procedure in these cases is to first try a super-simple config file. Then start de-soldring things from the board, one or two wires at a time. If the board suddenly starts working after de-soldering a wire, then there would seem to be a problem with the wiring. On the other hand, if you de-solder all the wires and the problem still persists, then the problem must be the board, and it needs to be replaced. (And in that case, de-soldering was the right thing to do anyways.)

Hello
I will try that.

Thanks
