Hi, so I have a question regarding soundfonts in general. I came across many soundfonts out there on the market that are character-oriented soundfonts that are themed based on specific settings and have layered characters on hums or swings. Does anyone know which one of the many creators sells soundfonts that remain in the standard kind of “legacy” experience of lightsaber? Simple lightsaber sounds light side and dark side but more those old styled sounds rather than those “new age” mostly based on some movie, game quotes. If you would compare SW JK and SWJ:FO or SWJ:S you would know what I mean. Thank You!
So many creators have a wide variety of fonts, and almost every creator has one “classic” or “graflex” font.
I’m not sure exactly what your definition of legacy vs. new age is, but I’m a big fan of the Kyberphonic “Hero’s pack” font which comes with great basic lightsaber sound, plus quotes from several different characters which can be added if desired.
Check out the BK Saber Fonts Classics (based on Luke’s green blade and various other OT/PT sounds) and Flexi-mod (based on the Graflex but more modern) fonts. It’s got very traditional hums and swings.
KSith does the Light/Balance/Dark fonts, which are nice PT style ones.
Kyberphonic has the Peace & Violence font pack, as well as the Hero’s Pack which is a PT font. He also has the Kyber’s Workshop free font which samples the audio directly from the crystals you get for the Savi’s Workshop hilts.

Additionally I would go check out @NitTheGrit aka The Dark Jedi’s channel and do some research since he’s an amazing independent resource when it comes to back to back font-pack reviews. He dives right in with them all in a way where he’ll highlight a specific saber or sound font style and then puts them to bladestyles so you get the full immersive experience and can hear how each maker does their “thing” with the sounds and decide from there.
Thank You All for recomedations!
