Hey guys, quick question. I currently have a profile saber from Theory Sabers and am using Fett’s Config/Blade Styles for a one-button setup, etc. I’ve added styles and fonts and used Arduino.
If I were to buy another one-button saber from TXQ Ali Express (let’s be honest because it’s cheap). Could I easily upload my existing config/styles/sound fonts to it? Or would I need to do something to that saber before uploading a new config from my PC?
The answer is “maybe”.
It would depend if they are wired exactly the same, and if they are not, you would need to adjust the pins declarations from the config of your “old” saber to match the pins declarations of your new saber. You might also need to adjust the blade length declaration if they are not identical.
Edit: and the same version of Proffie board.
But other than that as long as you have the same number of buttons and number of blades, I think it should be ok.
txq / theory sabers and most of the chinese produced sabers are generally LGT sabers and are wired the same, I have an ausSaber (designed by Caer and produced by LGT SABERS) and their setups are the same.
you should be alright especially as it is setup, just make sure the usb is soldered on, BUT if it isn’t go check out my post ST-LINK V2 you can still upload (I have a Manjaro Linux laptop and I’m constantly uploading without the usb, I ripped it off).

*FWIW and correct me if I’m wrong here we kinda should get away from saying “LGT”. I think the story goes is there was a big falling-out at LGT. They became “Nexus” and those that took off started up “TXQ”.
I was very unaware of that. but good to know.
