I’ve been looking through the documentation on the OS and, perhaps I missed it, but is there a way to set a timing trigger to auto-initiate playing audio files?
For example, lets say I want to play a quote every 5 minutes, is there a way I can script that to run without me having to use the button commands to play the file?
You could try this, but you need a prop that supports quotes.
TransitionLoopL<TrConcat<TrDoEffect<TrInstant,EFFECT_QUOTE>,TrDelay<3000000>>>
This (and almost anything you can imagine) can be done by writing some C++ code, in most cases that means modifying a prop file, but there are lots of other ways to do it as well.
Could you not just make a quote track with them spaced five minutes apart? Unless I’m missing your intent somehow.
That’s one of the lots of ways

Or you could put it in the hum file(s).
(Either one 5-minute hum file with the sound mixed in somewhere, or 5 one-minute hum files with the sound mixed into one of them.)
Got a couple of fonts like that, too, Prof. And there for a minute, I got into overlaying quotes into tracks. Fun stuff, Audacity.
