I moved this to a new thread so I can try to figure out what is going on without overloading the other thread.

First question: Is this only happening with 4.6? It works as expected with 3.6?

Second question, I need more information:

  • proffieOS version?
  • post your config file
  • what prop are you using
  • what are you comparing to? Did you change anything else besides the arduino-proffieboard version?

sorry about this but ive just found out that this is an issue with the prop, im running two sabers now with the same config and presents only difference is one is using 4.6. i am getting the force effect with both but that goes away when i change the prop from BC_buttons to Fett263buttons

Well that’s weird. Can you turn the check mark on for time stamps in your serial monitor and do it again?
Maybe also post your config file.

My best guess without seeing anything is maybe it’s Force Push, but you don’t have any push.wav files.
This is assuming you’re not pushing any buttons at all.

Maybe you didn’t save the config before uploading?
If you removed #define BC_FORCE_PUSH, saved the file and then uploaded, this message wouldn’t be showing up.

Force Push code needs some work. It’s never felt quite right and seems to trigger inadvertently too easily, while at the same time being too inconsistent to do it when you actually intend to. I think Fett263 made some adjustments in his prop file’s version, but I haven’t had a chance to look at what changed.
You could try leaving it enabled and adding and adjusting the length value:

#define BC_FORCE_PUSH_LENGTH
- Used for adjustment to the Push gesture length in millis needed to trigger
  Force Push. Recommended range 1 ~ 10,
  1 = shortest, easiest to trigger, 10 = longest. Default value is 5.

Yes I will remove that, these are the standard default configs that come with the LGT cores from AliExpress, I think I’m just gonna test the 4.6 on my own personal config instead of these,

You was correct about saving the config change, for sum reason I was editing the backed up version rather than the one saved in the proffieOS config folder :crazy_face:.

Also I will triple check everything before I start adding to the thread
