The ability to have switch common as a positive instead of a negative can sometimes be incredibly useful, and I have done it a few times, But if memory serves, I’ve always wired to 3.3 volt.
I’m just wondering if it’s acceptable to use Batt + instead, as I have an install in which that would help me from a wire management perspective.
The reason I ask is when I’ve checked voltage on a normal switch-to-ground install, the button voltage has always been rock solid at 3.29 volts (unless there’s been a wiring problem somewhere). So I’m just wondering if that stability is important for the switch not to get confused, as Batt+ will obviously vary quite a lot from 4.2 volts to 2.9 volts depending on battery charge level.
My hunch is that either 3.3 volt or batt+ would work - I’m just wondering if one is preferred over the other as best practice, or does it genuinely make no difference?
Thanks in advance.
