DIscourse also has groups. I created Sith & Jedi groups a long time ago. Trurns out that groups lets you put a little “flair icon” in the bottom right of your avatar, but only for your “primary group”. Anyways, now I’m thinking I’ll add rebel and imperial groups as well and then add these icons to all of those.
I did a test with the Jedi group, using the SVG version of the jedi emblem and a white background inside the circle, which you should be able to see on my avatar right now.
That looks awesome next to your profile pic/avatar!
So what happens when you are in multiple groups? Does it display all your badges and just cover up your profile pic? lol
It uses the badge from your “primary group”.
Looks like whichever group you join last becomes your primary group.
Added Rebel group & icon.
And a Sith empire icon, not sure if I like the red background though.
And now the imperial group is done as well.
So how do you get the badges?
Some of the badges are rewards for things like posting a popular link, or simply writing your first post. Others are associated with “groups” that you can join.
