Speakers damaged

I ordered 3 speakers to stock up. They came stacked on one another and the powerful magnets crushed the lower 2. The cones are dented, but I think those are mostly for dust. I just dont know of the coil was damaged or something. They seem to slide in an out fine.

Should I reach out to the vendor for replacement, or not a big deal?

The left one is the undamaged one.

I know I would reach out to the vendor for a refund or replacement of the damaged ones.

I tried fixing a similar problem a million ways. It was only one speaker and I know some vendors are on tight margins so I just tossed it. For more than one though, I think asking for new ones is reasonable.

Unless someone has a magic fix I didn’t try? I tried tape, careful pressure, glue on the end of a stick to grab the center and pull…

Thanks guys. I contacted the store. Seeing as I dont need them at the moment, I will see if I can get a refund.

Just now seeing this topic. For what it’s worth I’ve done this a bunch and it will work most times. You can carefully heat the cone up a little at a time with a hair dryer and most times through simply elasticity and material ability to want to conform to it’s originally molded shape get the dents to “heal themselves”.

Give it a try next time.
