SMD blaster button

I’ve been building a small blaster prop for the past little while and I’ve got a quick question about button choices. Since the prop is so small I need absolutely tiny buttons, is there any reason a tactile 5mm smd button wouldn’t work?

If that wouldn’t work are there any alternatives, I have about a 5mm gap to work with under the trigger.

Proffie only cares if the circuit is closed. Should work fine. Just take care with the mechanical life.

Sometimes two small pieces of spring steel is the best switch. One bends to touch the other.
This is generally how pinball switches work. Of course, the pieces needed to hold the metal may end up bigger than a 5mm smd switch…
