So for awhile now I’ve just pretty much been putting any Quote Fonts I wanted into my “force” file & renaming them.
I’d pretty much only do this on character specific Blade Styles.
Oh course this means that I wouldn’t have access to any Force Effect Fonts though. I was wondering if there’s some existing Button Prop, or a way to create a Button Prop to access another Sound Font file?
Thanks a bunch! Got it to work on one of my fett263 props, I just didn’t have the command line uploaded on (probably) that proffie board to activate it, which will work on most of my lightsabers.
I do use sa22c props on the lightsaber I use most (and I just like that button prop more), but I can’t see anything about a way of playing quotes.
It wouldn’t surprise me if it didn’t though since this button configuration seems to be for actual Lightsaber Cosplay type fighting, focusing more on quick responses rather than showing off features.
My Sabersense prop is built on the SA22C prop (though with quite a lot that has now been updated) and allows for playing quotes if pointing up regardless of whether the blade is lit (plays sequentially) or Force effect if pointing down with blade lit (plays randomly) or music pointing down with blade off. And as the prof said, most other props now have pretty comprehensive quote player facilities too.
Sa22c stopped updating his prop in OS5, beginning in OS6 I merged his prop with mine. My prop has support for all of the current features and can be customized to work how you want via defines for OS7.
Refer to the Set Up Instructions and Defines here:
Ah that it! I didn’t even need to upload anything!
Those “Point Up or Down” get me sometimes because you have to align them so perfectly!
I just didn’t notice when I gave it a try last time because I didn’t realize my “quote” folder was empty!
Thanks for that guide though. Nice reading through the inputs not all in .txt format
Not always - it depends how the prop or feature is written. I’ve deliberately set mine up so that if there are only two options, up or down, then it will register as up even if it’s just a few degrees above horizontal and vice versa. On one button systems, things get a little tighter, as you sometimes need to fit three settings in, up, horizontal and down, but even then I’ve tried to set it up to be, if you will, intuitively loose.
