Is there a way to create or modify a prop file to allow me to turn a plasma gate motor on and off using a button press sequence. Since I am setting the config to power down the saber on a long power button press, I feel like a double-click of the power button while the saber is on would be the easiest to remember as well as execute. FYI, I do not have blade detect.
I would like to display the chassis with rotating chamber while the saber is on, then disable the motor while spinning and light clashing the saber. Thanks!
Yes, here is a way. It’s called “programming”.
The easiest thing to do would be to have separate presets for “motor on” and “motor off”. Doing it this way should work with any prop.
Assuming the motor is wired to its own LED power pads, then you can use the Sabersense prop file array selector as a means of turning the motor on or off. So a fast triple click of POWER will basically toggle between motor on and motor off. This would be independent of fonts or presets. This clip shows it in action:
If you post your config, I can modify it - it’s quicker to do it than to explain, but once you see it, it’s very simple.
