ProffieOS7 Style Library Phase 3 (Early Access) Q & A

I’d like to change the off color to magenta, so I pasted the style into the editor to layerize it, etc. I have trouble identifying the parts of each style.

The error is a bug in the Editor, I had submitted a PR to fix but I don’t think @profezzorn was able to update the Editor yet.

Off Color is within InOutTrL<> layer, for Main Blade styles it will always be “Black” from the library

Using special ability 4, when I select ignite-play sound a pop up window states:

Missing Retraction Effect Code

Special 5 is then kaput in the viewer.

play sound -ignite works fine

Looking to try some time bend effects. When using the slider I’m not getting the various timings I was used to. Sliding to the right past the 3/4 mark has the blade wink out instantly in the viewer. Tried a few timings, and it looks off. Not getting that nice fast to slow retraction I like to use.

All of the other fixes work great. Wave blade and merge styles are excellent!

Do you have a style that acts differently with same settings? I don’t recall any major changes to Bend Time, I’ll try to take a look at what may have changed.

I’m trying to recreate a style with a few changes and am trying to get the same fast to slow retraction, or try the opposite. Doesn’t seem to match up. I can dig up the old style tomorrow.

For some reason on spark tip retraction the spark travels but the color remains behind it on one of my sabers. I though a rebuild of the style (it’s a 7.12 version) might solve it, and came across the slider issue trying to replicate it.

This style look amazing but I wanted to add a sparkly post off. It’s for “Dreamscape”, a rather whimsical font. Unfortunately it hits what I think is a known bug when I drop it in the editor. This is the style:

So since I was having trouble I tried to work backwards, but am getting hung up on the compile. I created a simple static blade in the library with the HyperSpace post off, then swapped the stripes for sparkles and got this working in the editor, using RGB vales for the colors they aren’t black since I wasn’t sure OS7.14 recognizes the newly named ones. Let me try to understand what you actually want here.
So the first posted style has an EFFECT_RETRACTION “hyperspace” thing with stripes traveliing to center.
Then next you posted a basic blade, but with a “sparkly” EFFECT_POSTOFF.
So are you trying to swap in the sparkly postoff instead of the hyperspace EFFECT_RETRACTION?

You would just remove the one layer and add the postoff instead, like this?

It’s a little understated because of the WavLen timings in the editor, but thanks for getting it working! It looks better than I had hoped on the saber. I seem to always miss a layer or have one layer too many…
