ProffieOS Documentation (POD)

Ok, it’s officially late-o-clock, but I have got syntax highlighting and “copy to clipboard” buttons working now, and I have updated the “proffieboard setup” page with images and to use proffie-dfu-setup.exe instead of zadig.

Next step will be how write a page that lets you use the configurator to set up a simple config file and flash it to your board. (with screenshots)

FYI POD comes back as potentially harmful in Firefox.

I just came here to post the same thing.
On my phone this morning, Chrome Android

Google’s security sweep software apparently takes issue with proffieos-dfu-setup.exe for some reason. (It won’t tell me why it doesn’t like it, it just says it’s unwanted software and tells me to delete it.) Apparently google now holds the keys to the web.

The whole experience is very “nice website you have there, pity if something were to happen to it…”.

Maybe they take input from various antivirus reports like the ones I sent you

The good news is that as a Google engineer, I have the ability to use internal bug reporting tools to try to resolve the problem. I’ll report what happens here.

I just got a Community Guidelines Strike Warning on youtube because I had a link to the POD in the video description.

Harmful or dangerous content

There’s an option to APPEAL… but what would I even say?
“You dumdums, it’s fine!”

Google has a Security Issues report.
entering pod.hubbe.net, I get:

Verify domain ownership via DNS record
-pod.hubbe.net
1
Select record type:
Learn more
2
Sign in to your domain name provider (e.g. godaddy.com or namecheap.com)
3
Copy the TXT record below into the DNS configuration for pod.hubbe.net
google-site-verification=A8w5FMM4nkN_2iQiGu6LErJxFhVhhfDdkrkTa385ALo
4
Press verify below
Note: DNS changes may take some time to apply. If Search Console doesn’t find the record immediately, wait a day and then try to verify againLearn more

Guess I should be doing that part.

Actually, I already have ownership, and this is the same tool that reported the issue to me in the first place.

I’m removing the binary to please the google overlords for now.

The pod has been released from “harmful program” jail.
I’m waiting for some confirmations before I put the installer back on the site though.
