Proffieboard V2.2 test

Thank you. I still have the original config that came on the sabre but I might try a single file to make it simpler.
Cheers both

Managed to sort the simpler config with no apparent problems and have uploaded on the board. Time to re-solder (this is the nervous bit)…

Unfortunately in the process of trying to sort, noticed a few more wires had broken off and came away. Have had to order some new cables now as they are now too short to get back into the hilt. Sigh.

that’s a shame, still you will be able to wire it up with better colour coding this time and make it less confusing.
keep us posted as i’m keeping my fingers crossed it all goes well for you!

New cables came and have tried to re-wire, but no joy. I get no indication that there’s anything happening.
My soldering needs a huge amount of work as well mind
Think I was right initially and there’s a problem with my board, so will source a new one and start over.
Appreciate the help of all who took the time to respond.
Matt.

That’s such a shame, was hoping all was going to be ok.

Quick update.
With a huge amount of help and patience from Driftrotor (such a legend), I have a fully working saber
I stripped the board down completely and ordered some replacement wiring, and with some help from a few YouTube soldering tutorials managed to get it going again.
I can only assume that whatever I’d done with the connection prevously was the issue, but all good now.
Thanks again Driftrotor :+1:

That’s fantastic news Matt! Glad you managed to get it all working in the end!
Enjoy your saber😁

Couldn’t have done it without your help though, thanks again

Do you have a multi meter? Know how to use it? If so probe for continuity between negative and positive pads. Is the board still soldered up? If so, post pics for visual inspection. 2.2s are fairly resilient to errors.

Hey Megtooth. Afraid I don’t have one, but will probably need one for this particular hobby. Appreciate the response.
(Get well soon by the way)
