I’m going to take my pommel from empty tobe to kind of megaphone/bell shape. Any tips? (goal is to go from the top image to the bottom image. I plan to use a drill to open up the hole on the bottom of the pommel and use some hand files (round and flat) to get that slope. Im also removing the first part of the tube so the sound waves don’t bounch directly backward.
Straight Shank Metal Cone Drill Bit should do the trick

You could probably do it with a butter knife. LGT/Nexus aluminum is soft like ice cream.
