Play sound + Ignite (Special Ability)

Hi there,
I’m trying to set up my saber to play a sound then ignite when the sound finishes
I tried the Library generator but I can’t get it to work?

InOutTrL<TrSelect<IncrementWithReset<ThresholdPulseF<EffectPulseF<EFFECT_USER7>,Int<30000>>,EffectPulseF<EFFECT_RETRACTION>,Int<1>,Int<1>>,TrWipeX<BendTimePowInvX<IgnitionTime<1428>,Mult<IntArg<IGNITION_OPTION2_ARG,10992>,Int<98304>>>>,TrInstant>,TrWipeInX<BendTimePowX<RetractionTime<0>,Mult<IntArg<RETRACTION_OPTION2_ARG,10992>,Int<98304>>>>,Black>,
TransitionEffectL<TrConcat<TrDoEffectAlways<TrDelay<7469>,EFFECT_TRANSITION_SOUND,3,1>,TrInstant,Black,TrWipeX<Int<1428>>>,EFFECT_USER7>,

The sound wav is tr3.wav and is 7469ms long.
The sound plays but there is no ignition.
Thanks for any help

Why not just name your sound “preon.wav” ?

Yes that would be an easy fix, but I don’t want it playing every time I ignite, only when i want to.

I’m not sure if this is actually helpful, but some props have a “fast on” feature for bypassing preon.

Thanks profezzorn, forgot about that effect.

Gestures bypass the preon if you don’t want to use it all the time, use twist or swing on

Great! Thanks

Just checking, there’s no way to do this by code?
Like my attempt above? I can get the sound going but no ignition.

Does the blade ignite when using standard ignitions?

Special Abilities 5 ~ 8 in my library have this option.

Golden Harvest has a nice feature for this. You can set it to do preons and postoffs only when the saber is pointing down. With proffie, you can bypass the preon with gestures, but it would be nice if you could also choose whether or not to do a postoff. Maybe that is something that could be included in a future release.

You can do this in Proffieboard using Dual Mode Sounds and having your odd numbered sounds be very short (less than a second) with no sound

Wow, good to know, will use this feature

Kinda sounds like how I play with some of my Track Fonts sometimes…
I’ll play a “Track Font” & then ignite.
For example, in my Mace Windu “Track Font” I put a sound file that says “I’m going to end this once & for all.” So I can just play the Track & it says that & then I can ignite the blade.
Think of it like playing a Force Effect before choosing to ignite…

So what you could do to sort of “fake the effect” is just put the Sound Font you want to play before you Ignite & make that the “Track Font”
Then you can just play the “Track Font” right before you ignite the saber if you want that sound effect, & just don’t play the “Track Font” before you ignite the saber whenever you don’t want to play that effect.

Just a sloppy work around…
