Any chance of revisiting lateral motion detection? ie moving the blade on a flat plane rather than swinging? I remember it was investigated previously but not sure it was taken further?
I think this would really add more control to the sound and movement.
There is always a chance, however, it’s pretty low on my list of things to do. Part of that is because I don’t know if it’s even possible to make it work well.
Of course, someone else could always do it.

Isn’t Ferndando’s force push thing triggered with lateral motion? Couldn’t we just fine tune that, and trigger the smoothswing algorithm? I don’t know, just a thought. Fernando has incorporated so much stuff, we might as well make use of it.
As for me, I have no feature requests per se, outside of Deep Sleep. I think that a hibernation mode is the only thing missing from proffie. Maybe more OLED capabilities? But I’m not even sure what we need there, except for maybe expanded blaster OLED functions? I think Brian Conner was working on that.
