Only boots after pressing reset button

Got a new saber wired up. I attach the USB cable and nothing but a solid green light on the board. I try holding boot and pressing reset then flashed the board.

I insert a battery, flick on the Killswitch and nothing but a solid green light on the board.

I hit reset button and get the boot sound and everything seems to be working fine.

I flick off the Killswitch, then back on, and nothing but a solid green light. Hit reset and everything is fine.

Over USB or battery, I just get a solid green light until I hit the reset button then everything seems to work fine until I hit the Killswitch or remove and replace battery.

Wiring seems to be fine and I’m getting continuity on all the proffie connections. The switch is not wired up yet but I’m using twist to turn on and off. Twisting on and off works, the blade and crystal chamber pixel are doing what they are supposed to.

Has anybody seen this before?

The board has a capacitor, which is supposed to keep reset “pressed” for a few microseconds while the power is stabilizing. I’m not sure, but maybe that capacitor is not working properly?

This is that capacitor on a v3 board:

I decided to save myself some time and headaches troubleshooting and just swap out the board as I have extras. All is well now.
I am curious what was causing it and was about to start with what you suggested, but it will have to wait for when I have more time.
Thanks!
