Sorry Brian,
I don’t know this community and this seemed like the only way to reach you.
Your site soundfontnamingconverter.com seems to not be converting audio. mp3 to wav. I got it convert a few folders (12mb total) but then when I went to a (21mb folder with 997 mp3’s in it) it just hangs forever. I tried this the other night and received a heroku error like it was some type of limitation or the app had broke.
Could you check and verify the site is still operational?
Thank you.
Also just so you aware, I’m not trying to convert anything wild.
I’m just converting .mp3 to wav - specifically sound samples from here
https://philharmonia.co.uk/resources/sound-samples/
I was testing the folder “bass clarinet” which has over 900+ small mp3s. The “banjo” folder worked fine. I’m wondering if the heroku app has some type of limit on number of processes, threads, or hit a limit and stalled the functionality of the app.
I actually use these multisample soundfonts in a particular music device called a “distingEX” Expert Sleepers Disting EX
which allows me to take soundfonts of other instruments and play them with a midi keyboard.
Your app seems like it would be helpful for fast conversion and worked initially.
I guess I should be using linux sox from cli for conversion instead but your app worked really amazing already and I just wanted to notify you that it might be down currently. If there are any limitations on number of files or size of folder, please let me know and then I can reduce the number of files I try to process.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Was this using the “audio convert” button, or the font convert? (I think either would actually be fine)i see this error:
2024-08-22T00:50:47.760072+00:00 app[web.1]: 08-21-2024 07:50:47 PM - Servlet.service() for servlet [dispatcherServlet] in context with path [] threw exception [Handler dispatch failed: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Cannot reserve 1048576 bytes of direct buffer memory (allocated: 313621043, limit: 314572800)] with root cause

which to me seems like, yes, you tried to do too much at one time.
It’s pretty quick, you may consider splitting the files into like a couple hundred at a time and ?
Okay, I’ll give that a try and update you
For info, I am also getting with https://soundfontnamingconverter.com/ “Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.” on my browser (Firefox). Is the address I have correct ?
You need the www.
subdomain at the beginning.
