New Fonts and blade Styles not showing up after arduino upload, but old blade styles stayed?

I just uploaded my new config with arduino, no problems. It verified fine and uploaded fine. I made my first preset from scratch using fetts help video, so it should be first in the sd card and the config. However, when i plug in my battery and turn it on, it is saying “font directory not found”, and when i turn the blade on, it is still using the previous blade style (that being a green luke skywalker style instead of my blue survivor from fett263). on top of that, it is allowing me to go through my old fonts? it still tells me “font directory not found” with no sound but i can go through the blade styles.

Could be something as simple as you’ve not saved the new config in the config folder of the proffieOS folder, also you’ll need to put a common folder and maybe a tracks folder in the root of your sd

so, i need to put my new config on the proffieos folder in place of the current one, right? also, what is a common folder? ive heard about it in fetts tutorials but im not quite sure what it is or how to do it. also, i do have a tracks folder, what should i do with that?

Yes, your specific config file that you modified should be in the proffieos “config” folder. Then you select it in the ino file.

The common folder is the common sound files for the spoken menus. Usually the preset section (for the individual fonts) specifies that. it would be a root folder on the SD card called "common"It looks like nmon of your preset fonts have that, so I do not know if that is what is giving you font directory not found.

As for the tracks, look at your second preset called “Obiwan”, it has the track specified in the directory. It is usually a song wav file that plays then you play a track on the completed saber

Okay, step 1 was done, but just incase i replaced it with my recently edited one.

Im looking around in my SD and it seems that each font folder has its own specific menu sounds. i dont have a common folder like that. My tracks folder only has 18 music tracks as well, no menu sounds. Do i create my own?

Yes, that one is specified, so should i swap the track i have for my cal font with one on the sd? i have the cal track on the sd, so im not sure what that would do

it uploads just fine, i am not getting any errors like the ones described.

How do I make a common folder? I don’t have one, and I’m not quite sure how to make one and what to do with it to make it work.

Okay, i downloaded the cal kestis one. Do i extract it and paste it onto my sd? what after that?

yes extract it and place the common folder onto your sd

What board are you using 2 or 3?

i saved my recently edited one into proffieOS in the config folder with all the other ones in there. ive opened proffieOS on arduino. im using a 2.2

did you make any changes to the config file name when saving the edited version? if so you need to make the change to the define in arduino so it pulls the correct file
