Nerfworxlab all metal NN-14 install

I have had this kit for about 2 years. It is made of aluminum, and is nicely machined, and goes together really easily. A fun kit.

It came with a cfx blaster core and all the other electronics needed, but I got overwhelmed with the blaster core and what was needed for wiring, accents, etc., so I put it away. Until I got inspired to restart it with a proffie instead.

Because I wanted to go a new direction, It meant that I needed to make a new chassis for it.

I made plates to cover the proffie and speaker. the speaker opening aligns with the blaster side plates, so it needed finishing.

That is the kinda thing I like doing, so I spent some time planning it out. This will have a 16650 removable battery, kill switch, 22mm bass speaker, and a proffie v3.9. I also decided to put a pixel matrix in it for accent.

I Also made a clear sleeve to hold the barrel/muzzle pixels and would act as a diffuser. I printed it in clear PLA, but forgot to get a photo of it.

It all looked good in the computer, so i printed it out. It all worked perfectly on the first try. I still need to work on my wire pathing, however.

Here is where I am today.

POwer and usb are accessible by unscrewing the large screw. Have to take it off to get the sdcard.

Left to do is program/animate the matrix and paint the heat staining on the barrel. I need some clear paint for that. I will try to post some videos.

Awesome! I love seeing alternate-prop builds like the blasters and thermal detonator.

oh that’s what you wanted the looping stack/unstack animation for. Nice!
