Does anyone own this hilt, or know of super thin Micro Usb cables that would fit in here? The board is fixed in place, so can not be safely pried up.

Don’t know if you’d be willing to do this, but you could get some wire cutters & cut the ends of the hings holding the board in place.
Wouldn’t really “damage” the chassis in any other sense really other than aesthetics. Just one of those little Jury Rig things you can do to make things fit good enough. Not perfect, just good enough. Besides it’s not like we’re mounting the chassis’s to show them off.
I’ll modify a chassis by cutting a piece out or sanding something down to get better access to a port or SDCard, or maybe to make a battery fit better.
Some times you gotta go off code to get stuff done!

how do I put it in the cable head lol (insert the ribbon cable into the clamp). I can’t seem to get the black piece to move so I can fit the ribbon in.
You shoukd just flip it up, put the ribbon in, and flip it down.

oh got it lol. Any tips if the micro USB port is like incredibly tight and it is super difficult to remove each time I need to flash the board?
I know the port is the issue and not the cable since it does the same thing with both cables I have
It is pretty tight. I put my thumb on the edge of the proffie (depending on the chassis) then grab the usb cable board, and gently rock it back and forth the long way while pulling back.
Makes me think that the port got smashed during the installation or something like that to make it tight. I’d be hesitant to do anything to help that condition because it could result in damage to a working board… alternatively you could wire in a USB type C if you can find somewhere to put it in that chassis. You would use something like this to stay in the port and it gets wired to a separate USB C connector…
rocking doesn’t really work for mine lol. I kinda just have to make sure nothing will be damaged if I pull back on it rlly hard and then it eventually comes out. I read I can remove the two pins at the top to make it easier

Totally fair and might not be the one for you to get your feet wet on (not that it’s any more difficult). But it could be and it’s a good skill to have in this hobby if it’s something you are interested in.
