Mace windu color code

Does anyone have a good color palet code for a mace windu fond?

I find the purple from fett263 not as accurate

You can’t really achieve a good purple with pixel strips. You’d need rB and dR LEDs to really get it. The deep purple option leans more on the blue which I feel is closer. I don’t actually like it as much becuase it’s almost got a UV quality to the light (like pure blue does). I stick with purple or even magenta.

ProffieOS 8 will add a bunch of new color codes in the purple range. It’s true they won’t be as vivid as a deep-red/blue combo, but at least there are more to choose from…

I’m really not sure what color is actually accurate, but I would probably start with PsycidelicPurple (Rgb<186, 0, 255>) and then simply adjust the red up or down according to what you want.

You would only need to upgrade if you wanted to use the name of the colors, but since you probably want to do some manual tuning, that really doesn’t apply. Just use Rgb<186,0,255> then change the 186 up or down depending on how much red you want.

Hopefully someone familiar with Mace’s particular color can help figure out what the right color is.

Upgrading the OS is actually really easy, but you can’t as it is since the update isn’t even out yet.

There’s a lot of variance too with different neopixel blades. For instance a code I’d use for a KR V2 strip would be different from a TXQ blade. And then there’s slight variance between ones of the same maker. What I always end up doing is just testing it. Connect the saber with blade attached via USB to your computer, log onto WebUSB, fiddle with the colors until it looks right to you.
