I purchased a Korbanth DV6 master chassis (goth3d brass printed chassis) a little over two years ago. There was an issue with the kill switch, so I had to send it back, paying for shipping and customs to and from the US again, as I live in Canada. They outsourced it to get fixed, so the whole chassis was disassembled and rebuilt just because of the kill switch being at the bottom and the board at the top. I got it back and everything worked perfectly…then I stupidly touched the blade to the chassis outside of the hilt and fried something.
Ran a wire from the board to the negative battery terminal to bypass the kill switch since I always take the battery out anyways. In the process, I had removed the pogo emitter and resoldered it. The fix is a bit shoddy just so I don’t have to fully disassemble and reassemble it, and the chassis works properly, but now when the blade contacts the pins, only the bottom ~1" of the blade, closest to the emitter, lights up and stays green, regardless of what font I’m on. There’s no flicker or flash for simulating clash. I’m not sure if something else was damaged when I shorted it, or if the blade is now no good, or if one of the wires from the board to the emitter is maybe not soldered properly or needs to be replaced.
Any help would be really appreciated. I’m pretty inexperienced with electronics and really want to fix the issue myself so I can avoid sending it back to be fixed, since I bet it will cost quite a bit…
