I have the DFU setup but it still is giving this message:

I am having some trouble with this code error it still won’t find the driver even though it is installed.

Nevermind, if it’s saying cannot open then that’s still a driver thing…

Since I don’t think it’s been explicitly mentioned in this thread yet, have you run the proffie-dfu-setup.exe?

If so, do you by chance have a Thrustmaster flight stick? (It’s the most widespread case of software which–aggressively–installs a conflicting driver).

You can check the board in device manager (look for STM32 BOOTLOADER) and see what driver is being used. It should be WinUSB from libwdi.

yes. It isn’t showing up in the list I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still no driver in the list.

If you’re using Zadig, follow the steps you linked here:

You want to change to the driver it says to.

The STM32 BOOTLOADER doesn’t appear in the list of devices. Unless it is the proffieboard.

There are a million possible reasons.
The most common one is a conflicting driver, such as the guillemot racing wheel drivers.
