I am running Proffieboard V3 and everything “looks” good to me at a glance. I get the boot audio the debug output shows the correct font path but i keep getting “font directory not found” on my OLED and the error is played at the same time as my boot audio. I keep staring at the path on my SD card and my config file in Arduino but i have no idea WHY i am getting this error still.
Do you have the “common” folder on your SD?
I was messing around and i think you are on the right track. I do not have a “common” folder on my SD card but i did put my “FONT_DIR/font/;common” in my proffie config. I got the soundfont from saber fonts its “JUANSITH´S SURVIVOR PROFFIE” and i just dropped it in the root dir of my SD card. What is the benefit of the “common” folder? Does it go at the root of the SD card? I just removed the ;common from my config and im not getting the error anymore but if you could indulge my question about the SD card directory structure that would help me a lot.
Usually, people put a voice pack in the common directory.
Voice packs contain all the sound needed for menus.
Not all props have menus, but the most popular one (the Fett263 prop) does, and it more or less expects the voice pack to be available, and the font path to have a “;common” at the end.
If you’re using my prop the common folder is required to ensure all features work properly. See Set Up Instructions here:
I am unsure what “my prop” is. I just got the proffie board installed the OS and hand jammed a config file using the font i bought. I will take a look at the link you have sent, at the moment. I don’t have a “voice pack” but i suppose ill investigate what is needed for that as well. Right now the sound font handles the audio on boot and everything so far as i can tell.
Ahh i see the /props/saber_fett263 at the top of this config file i frakensteined together so i guess i am using your “prop”
Yes, that would be it. The page I linked has all the info and links to the default Voice Packs, although there’s a ton of custom ones available as well.
