Finally finished renovating the kids' lightsabers!

Finally rebuilt the kids’ lightsabers. Old JQ Sabers hilts with a chassis designed and printed by me.

Fully removable with switch actuator buttons also designed and printed by me. They are spring loaded, and the metal bit is actually a brass coin in both.

Each button has the initial of the child in Aurebesh. Proffieboard 2.2, 18650 battery, 28mm speaker.

Very proud of these.

(BTW @profezzorn is there a way to get embeddable Imgur galleries so we don’t have to upload images here?

I think that’s more up to imgur than me. The board does it’s best to fetch a preview from every URL you post, and for some services that includes an image, for some it doesn’t.

That said, it is my estimate that all external images will sooner or later stop working, which is why I actually prefer if people post images, config files and other such things on the forum rather than somewhere else.

Ah OK. I always err on the side of not uploading since space is at a premium. I’ll add them to the post. Thanks.

Oh, to have had a father such as you. Awesome job.

Stuff like this was not an option when I was a kid, hah.

Great padawan sabers!!

Same, but my dad wouldn’t have been on board either way. Still wouldn’t be! Lol

You have some lucky kids.

Don’t have kids myself, but when I have family over with their kids they always want to play with the lightsabers so I have some simple looking baselit ones myself, & the blade is super thick & goes down about a good 4’ inches.

Fantastic! Super fortunate children, I also spoil my grandchild but only with a pvc hilt installed with Proffie because he is so brutal at battling in the backyard. Usually ends up in pieces flying!
