hello,i have been trying to get my saber to work for the past three days since updating it
my tracks, font and presets work however when i try to access edit mode on my saber /change presets it will speak the name of the font but over the top will say error in voicepack version
additionally when i connect the saber to proffie OS workbench i can access the settings, clone presets, change tracks but it gets stuck on fetching edit options
i will provide a copy of my config.
myconfigexp2.h (33.5 KB)
i do hope this is informative enough
ok so im no longer getting error in voice pack version,im now getting the error voice pack not found,i have put my voice stuff as loose files in my common folder
I am not sure what that means “as loose files”. You either have a full voice pack or you don’t ?
Full voice packs can be downloaded from:
Download your choice of language and variation here:
https://fredrik.hubbe.net/lightsaber/sound/
Also, a large variety of FREE in-universe character Voice packs available here:
One important file that you need in your common folder is:
voicepack.ini
without it, it is not a voice pack. and it should probably have voice_pack_version=2 in it.
im probably missing the .ini didnt even know i needed that thnx, and by loose i mean without a folder
do you also know what the issue with the workbench could be?
To clarify, V2 voicepacks contain this .ini file. V1 voice packs do not.
If the prop used requires a V2, and you only have a V1, then you will get an “Error in voice pack version”

ok so the error in voicepack version is sorted(big thanks btw) now im going to see what the error with the proffie os workbench is
Hopefully you downloaded a V2 voice pack.
If you just add an INI file to a V1 voice pack, some files will be missing, which may cause complications later. (Like some menus or functions might not work properly.)
all the voicepack related stuff has been sorted now,i was unware of the difference inbetween the voicepacks at the time.
