hey guys,
having some issues with edit mode that I haven’t had before. I just uploaded my config to a board with edit mode enabled, and I’m having an issue that I haven’t had before. on some presets, when I open the color change menu, it doesn’t give me the option to pick the blade before changing the color. it changes them in tandem. the problem is that I don’t necessarily want them to both be the same or change at the same time. it’s weird, because some of them give me the option to choose blades. I don’t see any noticeable differences in the config. any idea what might be causing this?
in short, when I press to enter color change mode in edit mode, some presets say “select blade” and some just go straight into color changing, so when I rotate, both “blades” change colors relative to where they started.
Which OS version?
Which version of Arduino and which Proffieboard plugin version are you using?
Arduino: 2.3.6
Proffieboard plugin: 4.6
sorry, meant to post that as a reply
Maybe try reverting to plugin 3.6.0 and see if that fixes.
thanks. I’ll give that a try. I think it is likely an issue with my presets, since it works on some and not others. the blade styles are mismatched from a variety of different configs and sources, so I may have some inconsistencies causing issues there. here’s my config:
Possibly, you need all styles in a preset to be Edit Mode enabled. The styles should have BASE_COLOR_ARG and other _ARG colors if you want to edit. If styles don’t contain the color arguments they’re not editable and if they contain Variation, then they are old ColorChange styles, so they use the old ColorChange method which is universal for all blades.

That’s probably what the issue is. I probably should rebuild the blade styles again in the editor. Thanks.
^Probably that since I’m not seeing any issue with the most current OS w 4.6 under Arduino 2.3.8. Rebuild the style making sure all the “boxes are checked”.
