I finished up a neopixel install and everything was working fine when recently my blade stopped working properly. It now occassionally lights up partially with random colors flashing randomly. Anyone know what the issue is?
Most likely cause: bad data connection.
Second most likely cause: Poor power connection
Third possibility: low battery
Time to bring out the multimeter and find where the poor connection is.
I went through with a multimeter and everything had proper continuity and no bridging. I even resoldered the data line and that didn’t fix it.
Try a different data pad on the Proffieboard?
Just saw you had a post on Facebook (but removed it?).
Anyway, there was more important info in that post, such as that the blade works fine in other hilts, and that sometimes it works correctly in this one.
This now points to your pogo pin in the emitter as being the issue.
Saw i had multiple posts on the issue so I deleted the extra ones.
I did manage to resolve the issue though. Still not 100% what was wrong but I rewired the data line with a completely new wire and that somehow fixed it. I wired it the exact same way and checked before rewiring that continuity was all good with everything and it all looked good so I don’t know.
But it’s all good now
