So I changed the chassis of my saber today and the blade is not turning on, but if I place only a pcb with leds it turns on, I’ve changed de blade side pcb for another and it’s still not turning on, any ideas ?
-All the wiring is correct
-the battery it’s charged
-The led strip doesn’t seem to been burned
-the config is the exact same as before when it worked
Can your battery provide enough current for the blade?
Kind of seems like the protection circuit in the battery might be triggering.
The battery is the same as the one that worked before it’s a keepower from saberbay completely charged, really my only take on this is that for some reason de proffi stoped being capable of sending enough current and that is why no led would turn on but when it’s only the connector it works
If you start playing a sound track before you try to turn the blade on, does the track keep on playing or does it stop?
Nope the speaker keeps sounding Wich means that there is enough current ? Then the issue is probably with the led strip but how can I test it ? I checked continuity between in the v+ line and in the ground one and it was all right, the data didn’t sound but as of my understanding it shouldn’t right ? How can i test if the date line it’s not working and why would that make the blade side pcb leds not turn on if they are before the blade ones ?
It means that the protection circuit on the battery is not the cause of the problem. If it was, then the sound would quit as well.
here are a few pages that might help:
Also, I don’t suppose you have another blade you can try?
And as I said everything from the proffi to the las connector works just fine
