Blade Doesn't Light Up Completely

I looked around for an answer to this and couldn’t find one. Among other problems I’m having with the Sabertrio I recently bought off eBay, for some reason when I light up the saber, it only lights up about 90% of the blade. So I went into the config file and saw that it was set to 144 LEDs. I thought then that I just need to increase the number, so I entered 250, just as a guess.

That didn’t work, so I entered 500. The blade is still too short. Am I missing something? Here’s my config:

That is not how you change blade length go back to

const unsigned int maxLedsPerStrip = 144;

Look at bottom of config for BladeConfig section

BladeConfig blades = {
{ 0, WS281XBladePtr<144

This ‘144’ value is blade length.

needs to be at 144 unless you have some special leds. I don’t think it is your case.

115 is the number you want to increase. try 125

You can also temporarily use this as one of your presets:

   { "common", ""
    // =================================
    // === Main Blade Length Finder: === Change the blade config to 144 LEDs: WS281XBladePtr<144,bladePin,Color8::GRB,PowerPINS<bladePowerPin2,bladePowerPin3>>(),
    // =================================
    // https://pod.hubbe.net/howto/how-many-leds-does-my-blade-have.html
    StylePtr<LengthFinder<>>(),
    StylePtr<Black>(),
    StylePtr<Black>(),
    StylePtr<Black>(),
    "length\nfinder"},

Edit: just to have the correct link to the POD:

Thanks guys that worked! :smiley: I just had to increase the number.
