Just wondering if my config file for my 1 button LGT saber will work on a TXQ Baylan Skoll v2 I just got, or if I need to make a new one.
It depends entirely on the saber. Most of the time, if you only have a single blade and a certain number of buttons, (and the board versions are the same), installers wire up the boards similarly.
However, the only way to really know is to either know the wiring and be fluent enough in it to tell if things are compatible, or just to cross reference with a provided config file.
Normally a manufacturer or installer will provide a config file, did you not get one for the Baylan?
Actually the seller finally seemed to understand what I was asking for and sent me the real config files, so I should be good to go now.
