Arduino- Proffieboard Plugin

Greetings to all
I am using a desktop computer running Windows 10. After downloading the Arduino plugin and putti ng the address in “Boards Manager” and hitting install the progression of the install halts at about 25 percent. I cannot close or cancel the process unless I use task manager to stop it. Any ideas?

I deleted Arduino IDE 1.8.19 and installed IDE 2.3.4. The plugin has installed correctly and I will proceed from there.

To install the experimental version 4.1 plugin, you need to use the newer Arduino, yes. Once installed, you can happily go back to 1.8.19 if you wish.

However, that plugin has been “recalled” as not perfect yet, so version 3.6.0 is still recommended, which installs fine with Arduino 1.8.19.

NoSloppy, I could not get version 3.6.0 to install on IDE 1.8.19 but it installed on IDE 2.3.4
