23 inch blade with 75 leds strip ignites/retracts like 46 blade

My first proffie v2 build and not sure what I’m missing.
23 inch blade with 75 leds strip ignites/retracts like 46 blade.
I have the strip folded over and running down two sides. The sequence runs up to tip the down to hilt instead of from hilt to tip together.
I reduced the blade length to 70 and at the hilt (“tip”) is turning leds off.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

*Edited: User has a ZigZag blade.

You have made a zig-zag blade, which means you need to use subblade and subbladereverse to light up your blade correctly.

More information about that can be found here:

Please note that 75 leds over 23 inches is low, so your blade will most likely not look very “smooth”. The norm is to have about 80 LEDs per side on a 23-inch blade.

how/where do i insert the code? and do i use it exactly or change to 75?

You put it in the blade array.
You will also need to change NUM_BLADES (it will increase by one)
You should not use it as is. The example shows 100 LEDS on one side and 100 leds on the other, for you that would be something like 37 on on side and 38 on the other I would think?

If you have trouble figuring this out, please post your config file and we’ll have a go at modifying it for you.

Thank You !!
So adding 2 blades fix the compiling error i was having , and

BladeConfig blades = {
{ 0, SubBlade(0, 35, WS281XBladePtr<75, bladePin, Color8::GRB, PowerPINS<bladePowerPin2, bladePowerPin3>>()),
SubBlade(36, 74, NULL), CONFIGARRAY(presets) },

also fixed led not lighting up

Thank you again.

Should that be:

SubBladeReverse(36, 74, NULL)

Also try the button that looks like </> and place your code between the backtics for easy reading when/if you post your config please. Easier to read.
