If I let it sit after activating it and just getting the preon/out sound, it will happen every time.
So like, it freezes for a while and then recovers?
Yes, except for no lights the whole time. Any activation after it recovers, activates normally. (Except no lights)
Edit: I timed it and it took 12 minutes from ignition to hum.
Had a breakthrough. The problem is something to do with my laptop.
I uploaded the config from my desktop and it worked completely normally.
I’m not sure what happened, I primarily used my laptop for uploading new configs.
The only difference I see is that my laptop shows the board as com5 and my desktop shows it as com3.
Interesting.
Three things could be going on:
- You could have different versions of the arduino-proffieboard plugin on the two computers.
- You could have different versions of ProffieOS on the two computers.
- You could have different settings in Arduino->Tools
It looks like my tools setting got changed accidentally. The CPU speed was set to 64 rather than 80. Now the sounds all work perfectly on both boards!
Thank you so much for all your help.
Now the saber I’m building doesn’t show anything from the emitter. I’m sure that’s a whole different problem, though.
