OS8 dual blade control

I thought about just dm-ing, but then considered others may be interested in the info.

@NoSloppy , I just picked up a Marrok hilt and saw @Sabersforever youtube video about his install and its dual blade control and features.

I read thru the OS8 features in your prop, and I was wondering if this is good to go now that OS8 has released, or was there still some tweaking needed for this specific setup.

Also,@Sabersforever was it wired more or less like the V3 configurator?

It’s been GTG since we finished development of it, which was a long time before OS8 went official.
Feel free to ask anything

The prop file has extensive how-to notes, but don’t be discouraged. I know it looks like a lot, but after the “general notes” beginning section, it breaks out into control sections. Only one of these will apply for each button/blade configuration.
Each of those sections contains 2 ways of reading the controls:
by feature
by button click

TL;DR
It looks like a ton of reading but you only need 1/3 of all that.

It works great, and even on one button sabers.
2 is probably most standard, but I think the Marrok has a 3rd button, so that can be your "both on/off’ trigger.
The prop accounts for almost any configuration, so yeah. Have fun, LMK.

It looks like sabersforever hasn’t been on the forum for well over a year, so I will ask you guys about this wiring diagram:

Does this look good for a full dual blade setup? They wont be quantum pixel blades, just dual strip ws2812 (I believe). the battery will be a keeppower 21700 wired 15A discharge

Seems reasonable. I wouldn’t wire the charge port to cut the negative power though. You don’t need a kill key and and kill switch.

Thanks, those charge ports always confuse me for some reason. I have only installed one once.

Is this more like it, or am I still off?

So the power to the other stuff is interrupted when the charger is plugged in.

I would just connect two wires to the charge port, one for + and one for -.
Both go directly to the + and - on the battery.

Thanks.

I guess there is no issue with back feeding voltage to the the devices if the proffie is off via the switch?

The charger will increase the voltage coming from the battery, but there is no “back feeding”.
