Man, I appreciate all you have done for the community!
I think you should change your last 5 or so fonts to paid! Even though they have been free in the past.
Also maybe add a “buy me cofee”, or “donate” button to the website.
Just suggestions. I know the hobby is pretty niche, but I hope there is enough interest…
Thanks for the kinds worlds man, I did put a buy me a coffee link in the read me in the newer fonts but only about 3 people ever used it but thats fine cos they are free, hopefully people liked them enough to be willing to buy the new paid fonts.
what do you use to make fonts? LIke what software/app?
I mainly use audacity for processing samples they’ve just released version 4 but it doesn’t let you export multiple sounds which is a bit of a bummer so I’m still on v3 with that,
Also Reason 14 has got some amazing synthesises that I use to make hums and smooth swings, and effect plugins like “sidechain tool” that I use to make accent swings they’ve also got really good delay device called “ripley space delay” that I use a lot plus all their other effect devices.
Weaponiser plugin, that lets you layer different sounds together with slight delays and pitch shifting and stuff so every time you hit the button it’s slightly different, that’s used for clashes and blasts.
If I’m ripping audio from movies or video clips I just pop them into VLC player and save and export as a mp3 or flac then chop it up in audacity
I’m dead set on Audacity 2.4.2 and don’t think I’m ever moving on.
I gave 4 a try cause it looked pretty good and I did like that you can slice a track and then just drag it down to track below without having to cut and paste but as soon as I tried exporting and there was no option for multiple files I was like no thanks also there was no option to align end to end for multiple tracks, tried using short cut keys but it still didn’t work, I don’t understand why they left that feature out
