this is after I have done the boot/reset buttons on the board.
There are two possible options:
- you’re not doing BOOT+RESET correct (check the USB ID, if it’s not
0483 df11, you’re doing it wrong.) - Some driver is installed for this usb ID that makes it a serial device, if so, that driver needs to be uninstalled.
The buttons need to be done just right.,
Hold BOOT, press and release RESET, then release boot. You need to make sure you feel the clicks.
If you get the board on a port , I would just take the easier route and do RebootDFU in serial monitor.
Did you try that yet?

At least you could change a font, but you need to keep the font folder names on your SD-card intact.
I’ve mention a few times now you can use RebootDFU instead of the buttons.
You could also just short the pads that the button connects to, or just replace the button.
I tried. I can’t get the port to say “proffieboard” anymore… don’t I need that before I do the rebootfdu?
Generally it should say “proffieboard”, although it may work even if it doesn’t.
As long as it’s the right port…
If you can select it and you can open serial monitor and talk to it then you’re good
