Cortosis Clash not working correctly

Interestingly enough, the error only occurs when I add ;common to the name. It’s like that folder is causing the error.

That means you have this define in your config, temporarily remove it and upload to your board. Then the command will work.

#define DISABLE_DIAGNOSTIC_COMMANDS

Oh wow, so every file needs a number, even if it’s the only file of its type?

What’s the error say?

The audio error only occurs when the common folder is named in the config file, so I’m going to assume the error is there. The only error relating to the common folder is this.

Found vmbegin files: one unnumbered file SOME FILES ARE MISSING! 1 != 256 in common

As for when I don’t add the common folder to the font name, I get a few warnings like this, but there is no audio error message.

Found ccend files: one unnumbered file in Leia

This is the error, the unumbered file note is fine. This looks like something is corrupted in the common folder. Maybe try a different.

You may need to reformat your SD, back everything up first of course.

And be sure you are properly ejecting the SD anytime it is connected to your computer.

I tried a different voice pack. It works perfectly.

Thank you so much for your help!!! I have a lot of work changing out everything for my sabers, but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

Also, please don’t take it the wrong way when I spoke about processing large blocks of text. It’s not a you thing, it’s a me and my not-quite-working correctly mind. I have trouble with some things that other people find to be simple, yet I also am able to do some things to extreme levels. It’s just that my mind isn’t wired like theist majority of other people.

Thank you for the help, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.

You’re welcome, there’s no “correct” mind in my experience. I find my mind works differently than others as well :wink: so sometimes my explanations make sense to me but then I have to adapt for others, it’s all part of communication.

If something isn’t making sense or you need it explained differently there’s no harm in asking.

Good luck.

Thank you for your time. I really appreciate it.

If I may ask you for one more thing, I’m looking for some crackling sounds for the cortosis effect. Can you point me in the right direction for some good ones?

I’m not asking for free ones. I’m more than happy to pay.

Juan Sith and KyberPhonics had the sounds in their Acolyte fonts but I don’t recall the exact font names off the top of my head. If you ask in some of the saber groups or reach out to them they can direct you the correct fonts they offer.

Hey there.

Thank you for your help. I’m hunting down the sounds I’m after and I’m slowly learning your prop set.

Quick question, I have been trying to find the commands in your prop that trigger battle mode and force lightning. I’d like to change what triggers those features, but I can’t find the sections in the prop file that addresses them. I have searched for them, but to no avail.

Are you able to let me know what line numbers they’re on?

Thank you.

Battle Mode is integrated across multiple cases depending on defines so it’s not in one place and there’sa bunch of customization built in for it so it really depends. The actual control would be:

battle_mode_ = true;

There’s also some variations based on defines for Lightning Block but you’re looking for:

SaberBase::SetLockup(SaberBase::LOCKUP_LIGHTNING_BLOCK)

But I must CAUTION, changing things in my prop can often cause other functions and features to stop working. I’ve spent a ton of time balancing features, adding defines and testing over and over again to get everything working just right.

There’s a lot of moving parts all working together with multiple defines for customization changing multiple things around. Changing controls around or moving functions can have a cascading effect or create conflicts and may impact how the prop works overall.

You’ll need to do a lot of testing if you decide to modify how things work and I can’t help once things break.

I’m not familiar with that level of coding. For my old prop I used case EVENTIDs to trigger things.

I love using drag and melt, but I’m not a fan of them activating by actual thrusting. In my old prop I had lightning block activate with power second held when the blade was up and battle mode with power second held when the blade was down. That gave me melt with power triple held when the blade was up and drag with power triple held when the blade was down. I felt that that gave me more control. I can’t find the case EVENTIDs for any of those commands in your prop, so I’m guessing that it’s way more involved to change it?

Drag and melt require a button hold in my prop, except in Battle Mode, so they shouldn’t accidentally trigger.

My prop is pretty complex, I usually wouldn’t recommend trying to modify unless you’re really well versed in coding.
