Bad Gyro?

Got an 89 Sabers installed hilt in for repair, and I’ve sorted the thing that was broken, but firing it up, there are no swing sounds. Ignition, idle hum, clash etc. all work - just no swings.

Done the usual - reload SD card, load new config etc., but no difference.

Serial monitor gives the figures below with monitor gyro. There doesn’t seem to be any appreciable difference in gyro numbers between the hilt being still and it being swung around, which I’m guessing means the gyro is kaput and a new board is in order?

Just thought I’d check in with the Crucible Oracles here first before I go any further.

Indeed, values like that means the gyro is not working.
Unless you want to actually replace the motion chip, then yes, a new board is required.

I think replacing the chip will end up as more work than it’s worth, so I’ll tell the guy new board and see what he wants to do. Thanks for confirming. :pray: :+1:
