The folders go in the root. Basically, all of the contents of “common” go in the root of the font.

Ok Fett, i’ll give that a go. It’s probably better to just use presets.ini to add fonts anyway. Would be a cool idea though, a folder with voice packs and being able to select one in EDIT MODE

Does everyone BUT me (and @MeatySmurf) use Edit Mode? It certainly seems like it. Just curious as to what most do.
I also don’t use edit mode on my sabers.
I prefer to to do all that stuff on my computer.

Same here. Saber is for playing and testing font stuff. Plus it seems like extra wear and tear on the button(s), no?
I don’t care about the buttons, but a 4k screen seems like a better place for making complicated changes than a voice prompt menu system.

I just now tried the Web interface tool. Froze it up too. Couldn’t figure out how to select a different preset, yet…
I don’t actually use it, beyond development and testing. I built it to support installers and users who wanted the feature 
.
It has become popular and useful for a good amount of users though and gives users a way to make small changes in between uploads or when they’re away from a computer, like at events, so it was worth the time and effort in my opinion.

I was going to say that I think you’re an unusual person for building something that you don’t use yourself. But then again, I’m working on menu abstraction code that will make things like this easier in the future, so I guess that goes for me too…

I enjoyed the challenge and learning it provided, it was a lot of work but also a fun endeavor to come up with something that would help and expand the functionality.

Full edit mode is great when making a prop for someone who wants choices but doesnt want to think about the object as something you can “program”. It helps keep the illusion intact.
I’m a huge fan of the Edit Settings Menu. It’s going in all of the stuff on my bench right now.
This past week was a big demo week for me, and about 50 kids used my saber. One of the biggest reactions was “IS THAT C3P0!?!” when I was moving through the menu and turning up the volume.
So yeah, I’m a huge fan of all of the incarnations of this tech, even if it’s not all my style.

Phoenix did one for CFX, you can hear how it turns out. She’s just so drab. I guess my personal feelings should go aside, but I found it hard to swallow that that was our beloved Snips grown up.
